Google Classroom Challenge (Fall 2017)
Date and time
Location
Leeward Community College, room LC 108A
Description
Go paperless! Google Classroom is an online tool that integrates G Suite apps (i.e. Gmail, Google Drive/Docs, and Google Calendar) in one platform to help instructors and students connect with the course and each other, distribute and give feedback on assignments, and more. This is a great supplemental tool for use in the classroom and outside of the classroom, and for online classes, too. (Note: This is not a Laulima replacement tool.)
Some things you can do with Google Classroom:
- Post announcements.
- Ask/Post questions on the fly.
- Comment and reply on posts.
- Distribute online quizzes using Google Forms.
- Distribute and manage assignments, including the option to auto-generate Google Docs for each student with sharing permissions automatically applied/managed.
Guest: Daniela Elliott, Instructor of Botany and Horticultrue, will share her experience using Google Classroom.
Space is limited. Registration required to attend. Experience using Google Drive and Docs is preferred, although not required.
